The sequel to the Supergiant Games 2020 roguelike Hades is expected to be released in the year 2019. It's a bold move that increases the stakes and gives more insight into family politics.

Melinoe returns to take down Chronos the titan of time. She'll encounter new gods and specters, including the personification of the light Apollo and the goddess of witchcraft Hecate, and the deity of the retribution Nemesis.

1. Hades 2 Technical Test

If you're a big fan of Supergiant Games and their highly well-known 2020 roguelike Hades is a good bet, then it could be worth your while to sign up to participate in the technical test for its sequel. The studio has announced it's Early Access launch will be in the near future, and a test with a smaller number of people than the full 1.0 version will allow them to eliminate any bugs.

It's as easy as logging onto the game's Steam page, and then pressing the "request access" button. There are only a few spots available, however the majority of those who applies will be considered. The technical test will let players play the first level of Hades 2, with early-game characters systems, content, and characters. If they clear the area, players will be "gently advised" to stop playing, and wait for the Early Access version, which is expected to launch in the near future.

Hades 2 will feature more levels, enemies, voiced characters, and key areas than the completed version of the original. However, those selected for the technical test will be unable to carry their progress to the Early Access build. Supergiant plans to "reset the game from beginning" when it is in Early Access, so no save data from the playtest will transfer over.

2. Hades 2 Early Access

Hades 2 is officially in early access, and it's available for purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The early access version of the game as well as the full release 1.0 will be available to those who purchase the game. Supergiant Games confirmed that the launch will occur in 2024.

While the original Hades was an iconic game of the modern age the sequel takes it over the top of the water in nearly every way. It features a thrilling combat experience with more depth than ever before the roguelite feels like an entirely realized game just waiting for a few finishing touches to become an instant masterpiece.

Aside from its stunning visuals, Hades 2 introduces a number of new and interesting characters and features that enrich the experience and test players in ways they've have never imagined. Apart from the new gods and shades that populate the Underworld and the Underworld, there's a variety of objects to collect and upgrade through Incantations, which are a system of constant upgrades found throughout each run. Melinoe can also create new spells, improve her nocturnal arms and Nocturnal Armor, collect items from the crossroads camp to use in future runs and unlock weapons, trinkets boons, paths and other tools as she goes.

Another welcome addition is the addition of more open areas, which provide a variety of different routes through each region, and an ever-changing setting to explore. Each region is a unique take on the Underworld and some are more accessible than others, each offering unique challenges that stand out in the usual fare of other roguelites.

Supergiant has also redesigned gameplay in the early-access build. This cuts down on the grinding needed to reach certain upgrades, and makes it easier to move between different areas. There's still a lot of work to be done before the game hits its full release, but Supergiant has made it clear that it's determined to make the most of user feedback and keep working to bring demo hades 2 to a perfect state.

Supergiant is renowned for its ability to listen to its players, and resolve any issues that may arise. 3. Hades 2 Beta

According to the Steam page of Hades 2, "the game brings back all the elements that were special in the original game one: the isometric perspective, clearing rooms, identifying boons and launching powerful attacks and the Hub World, which includes a an actor fully voiced character to interact with and learn from, as well as the ever-changing Underworld."

The technical test also adds new features to the game. You can unlock permanent upgrades for Melinoe and a new weapon. You'll also have the ability to tame witchy familiars, reveal mysteries at the Arcana Altar, and gather reagents that can enhance your abilities.

But the most impressive addition is probably Omega attacks that are a brand new way to power up your spells and weapons. These attacks will boost your magick meter, allowing you to unleash devastating attacks over a huge effects over a vast area. This is a novel method of adding more variety to the action of combat.

Hades 2 beta is available both on Steam and Epic Games Store. Supergiant has said that they will keep fans informed as they work towards the 1.0 release in 2024. In the meantime, you can make a wishlist for the game on both platforms to be notified when it is released.

4. Hades 2 Release Date

Hades 2 is now available in early access on PC after the success of a test.
