We asked Ladina Schopf - interior designer, architect, and founder of LS Projects - for her tips on how to select the right home. They considered the capacity of storage, layout, and energy efficiency among other factors.

The name of the series suggests that the GE Profile series is targeted at people who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchens. This refrigerator is packed with them, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a clever water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Given that this fridge costs more, I'd expect better.

This fridge is a great option, despite the slight blip. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a good amount of frozen food when as compared to similar models.

The fridge comes with 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is typical for a French-door fridge at this price. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker packed into the left door, though it's not the biggest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create a customized storage arrangement for whatever you have to keep. The GE PYE22PYNFS's design for the interior is attractive, too. Its LED lighting is a nice feature and the storage bins have an additional shelf that folds down to allow you to store items that are tall. The drawers are equipped with temperature controls so you can set them for Beverage, Meat, or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their plastic textured coatings a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi as well as app support, and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and offers numerous options for customization. It also gives you notifications when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill, an option available in a few other GE fridges that allow you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. It does have a countdown feature on the fridge's display to display how much water you have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It is designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen Bosch's French door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker we tested was one of the most efficient, and it produces pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. This fridge is perfect for a small household or a kitchenette with an attractive design and top of the line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test due to a variety of reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0°F and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is crucial to prevent freezing burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our tests.

Bosch is a household name known for its high-end appliances. Therefore, it's no surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app allows you to monitor and control your fridge remotely from your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is a bit expensive, but it comes with excellent features and functionality for the price.

It's important to understand the limitations of the fridge. It has a small space for shelves, so you may have to think creatively when it comes to storing large items. Also the shelves aren't impervious to sprills and could be damaged or stained by sharp objects. It's easy to remove the refrigerator trays however, you must clean them regularly to prevent mold growth.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The fridge has an ordinary French door layout, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more headroom. There's also a full-width storage drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

The refrigerator comes with an ice maker, making it simple to transfer frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer features thoughtful design elements, for instance, sliding drawers that can help you better organize the position of your items. It comes with a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate container for ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It allows you to control the fridge's temperature, lighting, and more via your smartphone. It's a nice way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than other refrigerators we tested. This could be due to its greater capacity.

The doors pose a problem with this fridge. The sunken handles let shorter people open them from the bottom. However, taller people still struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those looking to combine the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. It has a capacity that is superior to counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a bit cheaper than the most expensive counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire french door fridge sale door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a minimalist design that's not as striking in appearance like some of the competitors, but it has enough features that make it a great pick. Its most notable characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer, which helps keep foods like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser and a decent Ice machine that is fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits above the two crisper bins, is a great feature. This drawer lets you redirect some of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can store foods that require special attention. You can alter this feature using the slider located on the in the middle of the drawer. You can also set the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the general settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my tests, the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across all areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. This is a pretty good performance, but it doesn't quite rank among the best french fridge freezer uk in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
