Insert the new battery into the socket after the previous one has been removed. Make sure that the positive side is facing upwards and that it is securely seated in all of the clips. Slide the cover down toward the key-ring section until it loosens and slides off. Then, take off the cover to reveal the mechanical key blade that is hidden within.
