These refrigerators stand out due to their unique features, like through-the-door dispensers and higher-end ice makers.

We asked Ladina Schopf - an interior designer, architect, and founder of LS Projects - for her tips on how to select the right home. They weighed the capacity of storage, layout and energy efficiency as well as other factors.

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The name implies that the GE Profile series is targeted at the consumer who wants to incorporate cutting-edge technologies in their kitchen. The refrigerator is brimming with these, from an inside-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a smart water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This fridge is expensive and I expected more.

This fridge is a good choice, despite the blip. It has a large freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door fridges, and it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when as compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment has 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is roughly on what you would expect from a French door fridge that costs this much. It has a decent-sized refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. But, it's not the largest one I've seen.

You can alter the shelving in both compartments to create customized storage arrangement for the items you need to keep. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS also looks attractive. Its LED lighting is a nice feature, and the in-door storage bins feature an additional shelf that folds down to make it possible to store items that are tall. The drawers include temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and close however I found the textured plastic coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price with Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and offers a ton of customization options. It also gives you notifications when a door is left open, when the fridge or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill which is a feature available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to set how many cups they want to dispense. The fridge displays a countdown to display how much water remains, but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like a seamless piece in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that helps keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer and dual compressors for the best food preservation. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This fridge is perfect for a small household or a kitchenette with a built-in appearance and top-of-the best food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The freezer temperatures remained steady at just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, never moving more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezing burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, reaching the temperature that was set for the initial setting within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our tests.

Bosch has a reputation for top-of-the-line appliances and appliances, so it's not a surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance with the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app allows you to control and monitor your refrigerator remotely on your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is costly and has great features and functionality at a fair price.

While the fridge is an amazing piece of equipment however, it is important to understand the limitations. It has a limited shelf space, which means you'll need to be creative when storing tall objects. Also, the shelves are not sprillproof and can be easily stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays can be easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they must be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth refrigerator is a great choice for those who require lots of space within a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the fridge has the standard french door fridge against wall-door layout, with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door and two rows of shelves for spill-capture, and a set of more spacious drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more room. There's also a full-width drawer to store deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that the ice maker is in the freezer, which makes it easy to move frozen ice to the fridge for use when needed. The freezer also comes with thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that can help you sort your things. It also comes with a large bin that can hold plenty of frozen food items as well as an additional ice storage bin.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's a great way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than some of the others we test. This is probably due to its larger capacity.

The other issue we have with the door of this refrigerator. They have sunken handles on the front that allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, however they're still difficult for taller people to steer shut without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those looking to combine the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with more efficient design. It has a capacity that is superior to counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which can make it an attractive option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a french door fridge organization (information from coolpot.stream) door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking visually as other models but it does have enough features that make it a great choice. Its main feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, which helps keep foods like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated over the two crisper bins, is a great feature. The drawer lets you direct a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power to this area, so it can be used to store food items that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also use this to set a general cooling setting for the entire fridge, but I've noticed that adjusting the general settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the refrigerator did not differ significantly from 38 degrees. That's a good performance, but it doesn't quite make it into the top ten in our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to gain more precise information on the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
