After that, carefully remove the battery by lifting the side closest to the key-ring hook. Wear rubber gloves to shield the electronic contact surfaces.

Insert the new battery into the socket after the old one has been removed. Make sure that the positive side is facing up and that it is placed within all clips. Slide the cover downwards towards the key-ring section until it becomes loose, and falls off. Uncover the cover and reveal the hidden mechanical key blade.
