3 Wheeled Buggies

A 3-wheel buggy can be used for off-road walking and for traversing terrains such as rough roads or tracks in woodlands. They can also be easier to maneuver around kerbs than models with four wheels.

Stability

With four wheels and a central point of gravity that's balanced by the weight of your child in the seat, 4-wheel buggies are generally thought to be more stable than 3-wheelers. Three-wheel buggies are worth considering since they can handle anything from rough terrain to busy streets.

For a buggy that's really easy to maneuver and will not be a problem on muddy roads, opt for one with large rear wheels and a lockable front wheel. These all-terrain buggies typically have pneumatic tyres as well, which are excellent for handling surfaces that aren't paved and can be used on sandy beaches or woodland tracks.

One factor that makes a 3-wheeled pushchair tricky to manoeuvre is the wide frame, which makes it more difficult to maneuver into narrow spaces and tight doors than a four-wheeler. Some manufacturers have addressed this issue by using clever design that flips the wheels upwards when they are not being used. This reduces their size and makes it easier to squeeze through doorways.

These tyres may require regular pumping but they'll be more durable than tyres made of solid rubber and are more likely to be puncture-proof. Choose a model that has a a lockable swivelling front wheel to assist you in maneuvering difficult surfaces.

When folded, three-wheelers can be heavier than four-wheeled buggies due to the single wheel in front. Be sure that the model you choose fits inside your car's boot and can be placed upright if required. Certain models can fold in one hand and stand on their own when they're collapsed, which can make them more compact in smaller car boots.

A good three-wheel pushchair can take on any terrain from busy streets to forest tracks. But it's important to consider what you'll be using for your day-to-day use.
