Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet style of previous albums and was a more ferocious, consistent effort that had an edge that was stronger than Hydra. The more experimental sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing ability to play was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live performance in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records.
