Line-up

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked the return to the traditional sextet format of the previous albums. It was a more ferocious, consistent effort that had a harder edge than Hydra. The edgier sound of Turn Back was a reflection of the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
