This robot's LIDAR mapping sensor is located just above. This can hinder it from being able to get under low-lying furniture such as sofas and tables. This is a great option in case you don't mind that it's slightly larger than other robots. Also, be aware that this model isn't equipped with a HEPA filter like the other models on this list.

The RV2502AE is a solid mid-range robot vacuum that can tick all the boxes. It's easy to use, generates precise home maps, and has an automatic bag emptying system. It's also less expensive to run than many other robot vacuums.

It has a lot of power. It makes use of its side brushes to move hair and carpet fibers into the brushroll. This avoids the accumulation and blockage of the brushroll seen on other robotic vacuums, and makes this machine more efficient in removing pet hair.

It's a good option for most homes but its navigation abilities may be a problem for certain. This bump bot was having issues with stairs. Other bump bots are able to avoid them, but this one couldn't. It used LiDAR sensors and infrared to map my house, but kept mistaking the cat condo as a staircase and asked me if I wanted to move it. It also had a shorter running time than advertised, which was only 180 minutes.

Self-Empty Base

Certain robots, like this one that self-empty bases. These bases vacuum or dump debris from the onboard dust bin into an external dirt compartment. This makes maintenance much easier. Easy Setup
