Developer Supergiant Games' 2020 roguelike Hades is getting its sequel. It's an opportune move that increases the stakes and gives more insight into family politics.

Melinoe is back in an attempt to take down Chronos the titan of time. Along the way she'll meet new gods and specters, such as the personification of the light Apollo, the goddess of witchcraft Hecate, and the deity of revenge Nemesis.

1. Hades 2 Technical Test

Apart from the new gods and shades that make up the Underworld, Oscarreys there's a whole array of other items to collect and enhance via Incantations, a system of permanent improvements that can be found in every run. Melinoe is able to craft new spells and improve her Nocturnal Armor and Nocturnal Weapons. Melinoe can also gather items from the Crossroads Camp for future runs, and unlock weapons, boons, and other tools.

Another great addition is the addition of more open regions that offer different routes to explore each region and a constantly changing setting to explore. Each region has its own unique perspective on the Underworld. Some are more accessible than others, but all provide unique challenges that distinguish them from other Roguelites.

Supergiant has also redesigned the gameplay in the early access build. This has reduced some of the effort required to achieve certain upgrades, and makes it easier to move between different areas. There's still a lot of work to be done before the game can be released full release, but the studio has made it clear that it's determined to make the most of player feedback and continue to fine-tune Hades 2 to a perfect state.

The most exciting new feature to the game is Omega attacks. These are new ways to boost your spells and weaponry. These attacks will boost your magick meter which allows you to unleash devastating attacks over a an extensive area of effect. It's a fantastic method to add variety to the action of combat.

The beta version of Hades 2 is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The official release date for the full version of the game is not known however, Supergiant has promised to keep fans informed as they strive towards a 1.0 release in 2024. 4. Hades 2 Release Date

Although the character isn't a direct reimagining of Zagreus, Supergiant says that Melinoe will have the same style and character.
