Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

Double pushchairs with side-by-side seating aren't foolproof however -If your children are at the same age or stage, they may still fight over who is allowed to ride in which seat. And if they're different heights, a tandem style might be better for them, as it allows them to face each other.

Tandem

While side-by-side models are best suited to siblings of the same age, tandem lightweight double strollers come with distinct appeals. It features a high-profile steering handlebar, front and rear suspensions to smooth out rough terrain and it folds compactly and can be folded up with straps to make it easy to transport and seven-inch front wheels with swivel locks and 10 inches back wheels with suspensions to ensure an easier ride. The only drawback is that you will need to purchase an additional car seat or baby carrier.

This versatile tandem is the top choice of our home testers because it is easy to maneuver and comes with an enormous shopping basket that can be accessed from both seats when in the parent-facing position. It is simple to move around due to its light weight (about the same as a few single pushchairs). Reversible seats mean they can be switched to face either way, and the clever way that it connects an additional seat or riding board to the rear is appreciated by many. Parents also admired that it accommodates car seats and infant carriers from a variety of brands. This includes some that are not typically compatible with other double buggies.
