The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and do not need a stroller which can also be used as car seat carriers. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's easy to push and it feels solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and foldable design that can be tucked away in the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The latest version has independent suspension on all 4 wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to 'perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.

The base YOYO2 frame with a curved fabric bassinet as well as a the 6+ month color pack make a stylish and elegant pushchair that's easy to look at and has a subtle but elegant design and a tasteful branding. The frame's weight alone is just under a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also easy to add or remove attachments or adaptors - the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks - as well as being machine washable to help deter staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. The Evenflo Xplore can be converted from a stroller into the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then decide which mode is best for their needs. The wagon can accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It has a huge storage basket that can accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore has two canopies that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long trips or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't bend as much as other wagons that we test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it isn't able to lock securely when folded. It is easy to move, though, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It was awarded an impressive score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and folded size, which means it's very light, compact when folded and easy to lift into a car trunk or closet. It also comes with an adjustable reclining seat that can be positioned in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our push and turn test, it did better than most of the other strollers of a similar price we test, but it's not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. However, it is missing some critical features that we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller like a large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's newest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be converted easily with a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

The seat can be reclined using one hand, and the big shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Despite being a narrow Single Pushchair sale it handled the everyday bumps well and went through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward position or swivel. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel during our walk on the stony path. It handled the situation well, though it did seem slightly rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain strollers for jogging. But they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It folds easily and fits easily in the car's boot even with a carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we've tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-made. It maneuvers expertly across different types of terrain and it's easy to carry even with two children and shopping bags.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it does have a large, deep basket to hold a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a ideal choice for those looking to take a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of a large number of parents when it first debuted. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can be used from infant's earliest days through. It's got a lot of standout features, like the capacity of the seat to be turned between the parent and the world and a huge UPF50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that takes the sting out of rough terrain. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets with ease.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It is also able to stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system is offered with the option of adding an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes come with only one action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to use and comes with a great dual suspension. It can be folded using just one hand, and comes with a handy carrying strap. It is also lightweight single stroller and durable. The seat is reclined in various positions. It also is equipped with a double-breathable mattress that can be used for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors, which can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro, and can cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be set up to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be positioned to face each other or rotate around to face the parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling disputes over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a big tray for gears with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also has a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents that like to be active. It's among the lightest strollers for running that you can buy for your child. It also comes with great safety features, such as a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It comes with a different kind of hand brake unlike other models that are an innovative twist.

The seat is well-padded and offers a large area to sit in, but the depth of the seat is less than other joggers that we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10 pounds. It is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as it comes, but you can use it from the beginning with the purchase of adapters for the majority of seats made by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It's easy to fold and assemble in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The user manual is easy to read and is available in multiple languages.
