WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item upgrader kit has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrader mod that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item upgrades level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new gear from other sources. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be bought by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with a The button will display the item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current item level upgrade level. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

Many locations offer item upgraders in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of getting a new recipe. Crests

Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment that is of a particular rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The most basic and straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulties to get lower-level gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This is to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to use them properly.
