A missing five-year-old boy who died in hospital was the third person to be pulled from the River Thames in the last three days.

An urgent police hunt was launched to find Daniel Alaby after he went missing from his home in Thamesmead, south-east London, yesterday. 

He had last been seen with his brother at around 5.30pm but was later pulled from the river at 6.23pm, the Metropolitan Police said.

Police administered CPR before the paramedics from the London Ambulance Service arrived. The child was taken to hospital in a critical condition and later pronounced dead, reformas integrales zaragoza the force added.

Now, it has been revealed that Daniel is the third person to have been found in the River Thames since Thursday.

A man's body was recovered from the water by Westminster Bridge after officers were called at around 2.25pm on Friday this week to reports of a body floating in the River Thames.

A Met Police spokesperson said: 'Police were called at 2.24pm on Friday, March 29, to reports of a body in the water at Waterloo Bridge. Officers responded.
