Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers love the remote control features of their key fob. Utilizing a smartphone app, they can lock and unlock the car, start the engine, and even locate it.

Place the fob's front up on an uncluttered surface. Find the button to release it. Place a coin in between the cover of the fob and the fob, and slowly pull it up.

Close the Windows

One of the nefarious features on Volvo key fobs is that they allow you to roll down all of the windows instantly by using them. This is great when you're trying to squeeze into a tight parking spot, or even simply when you want to get some fresh air in your cabin while driving.

To unlock the windows, press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote for four seconds. This will lower the windows and the sunroof, if there is one. When you're done with your vehicle, you can close all the windows by pressing the lock key for four seconds.

You can also activate the panic alarm in your car with the key fob. It will create the alarm sound loud enough to draw attention to the car and deter thieves. It can also help you return to your home in a safe manner if you've been out all night. This feature is handy for those who reside in an area that is dangerous or you want to ensure the safety of your family when you are away from home.

Turning off the Alarm

Set out your keys along with batteries and any other keys on a clean surface.
