What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget at the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. This Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors and offers no gameplay benefit aside from making it easier to find and purchase upgrades.

Boosters

Costs

It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the materials needed for an upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials are available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It could take as long as 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of the upgrade. The base stats of an upgraded item are calculated based upon its new ilvl as well as other characteristics.
